教具準備：錄音機、磁帶、課件或投影片或小黑板、圖片等。
教學過程：

教師課前準備一些關于周末活動的圖片（可使用5b unit3 hobbies的b及本單元b部分的圖片），小組內一學生選擇自己最喜歡的一件，其它同學用what are you going to do…?猜他（她）將要做什么。猜對最多的同學即為優勝者，可分別加5、4、3顆星。

step3 presentation
1. 指導學生觀察圖片，簡要介紹對話背景，讓學生了解對話主題。
2. 學生根據介紹的對話背景，了解對話主題，預測可能聽到的內容，做好聽的心理準備。
3. 播放全文錄音，使學生養成整體接受語言材料的習慣。
4. 指導學生完成填空練習。
①在完成練習的過程中，教師要在學習方法上及時給予指導：如根據對話內容，針對所填詞語設計一些問題，請學生聽完后口頭回答；又如指導學生做好聽寫記錄，記下關鍵詞……，幫助學生理解對話。
②對練習中出現的非四會單詞，教師可給出單詞讓學生有選擇地填寫。
5. 教師與學生共同討論練習答案，分析錯誤原因，找到解決方法。
6. 學習短語。
①學生自由畫出d部分中出現的短語。
②師生共同討論并課件或小黑板出示短語：see his parents，in new york，buy some presents，with his friends，buy some kites，at the shopping centre，near their school，watch a race，進行英漢互譯練習。
7. 學習語法知識。
①介詞的用法，例如in new york，with his friends，at the shopping centre，near their school中的in, with, at, near的用法。
②名詞復數的用法。例如some presents，some kites，要注意some后加名詞的復數；又如with his friends liu tao and wang bing，因為后面跟了liu tao和wang bing兩個人，所以friend必須用復數friends。又如see his parents是父母兩人，而不是父親或母親的parent，要講清詞義區別。
